Act ii

My mother introduced me to ballet when I was just three years old, and it was an experience that stuck with me as I stepped into womanhood.

The movements, the poise, the innate focus a dancer must have to land complex movements, symbolizes my upbringing in a black American family. A childhood full of memories, and being raised by multiple generations of black women.
